A Redis-compatible in-memory database, built from scratch in Go.

Implemented the RESP protocol to work seamlessly with redis-cli and standard Redis clients.
Designed a single-threaded epoll event loop using raw Linux syscalls, eliminating the need for mutexes across all data structures.
Implemented 5 core data structures — strings, lists, hashes, sets, sorted sets — including a custom doubly linked list and skip list, supporting 80+ Redis commands.
Added AOF persistence with configurable fsync strategies (always/everysec/no) for crash recovery and durability.

I'm a software engineer working at the intersection of systems programming and security. Day to day, that means chasing down CVEs, hardening container images against compliance baselines like STIG and FIPS, and building the pipelines that make secure-by-default the easy path. Outside of work, I build things from first principles — a Redis clone with a hand-rolled event loop, a RAG chatbot — and compete in algorithmic contests.
